Noon Labs ("we", "us", "our") operates the website noonlabs.tech and the energy calculator tools available on it. We are based in Australia and operate as a sole trader at this time.

We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. What Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to operate our service:

• Email address — if you voluntarily submit it through our email capture form to receive your energy estimate or early access updates.
• Calculator inputs — business type, state, floor area, equipment, bedroom count, and appliance selections. This data is processed locally in your browser and is not stored on our servers unless you submit your email.
• Usage data — anonymised page view data via Vercel's hosting infrastructure (no personally identifiable information is collected at this level).

We do not collect your name, phone number, address, payment details, or any government identifiers.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your email address is used solely for:

• Sending you your energy estimate summary if requested
• Notifying you of early access to new Noon Labs features or products
• Occasional updates about the platform — no more than necessary

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties under any circumstances.

4. How We Store Your Information

Email addresses submitted through our forms are stored in Mailchimp, a US-based email marketing platform. Mailchimp complies with applicable data protection laws and provides data processing agreements. By submitting your email, you acknowledge that your address may be processed on servers outside Australia.

Calculator inputs are processed entirely within your browser using JavaScript. We do not transmit or log your business size, energy usage inputs, or home configuration data to any server.

5. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or out-of-date information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send
• Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have breached the Privacy Act

6. Cookies and Tracking

Our website does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics services that identify individual users. Vercel, our hosting provider, may collect anonymised technical data (IP address generalised to region, browser type) for performance monitoring purposes only.

We do not run advertising campaigns on this website. No advertiser pays to have their products promoted through Noon Labs.

7. Data Security

Our website is served over HTTPS with SSL/TLS encryption provided by Vercel. We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access.

As a small early-stage product, we do not currently hold a database of user accounts or passwords. If this changes, we will update this policy and implement appropriate security measures including password hashing, access controls, and breach notification procedures in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme.

8. Children's Privacy

Noon Labs is not directed at children under the age of 15. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated to email subscribers where practical. Continued use of our website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
